Water in space

I have a question, what if I throw a big piece of ice in space. Will it melt when light from a star falls on it. If it melts and then it is converted to water the will the water molecules break away or will remain together due to cohesion. Next question related to this is till the time light falls on the ice it may get converted to water but what if the light is obstructed will the water freeze again. Related with this what is the temperature of space. I have seen the space walks but what is the outside temperatures during spacewalks. Does the spacesuits provide heating or cooling.
If fire can be made inside water can it be made in space.
